Version 2.055 is out

Clock hands would go off their positions on reload in previous version. Fixed.

2 more types of cube face suffixes are now supported:

1. _f.jpg _r.jpg _b.jpg _l.jpg _u.jpg _d.jpg
2. _0.jpg _1.jpg _2.jpg _3.jpg _4.jpg _5.jpg
3. _1.jpg _2.jpg _3.jpg _4.jpg _5.jpg _6.jpg

4. _11.jpg _22.jpg _33.jpg _44.jpg _55.jpg _66.jpg
5. _bk.jpg _dn.jpg _ft.jpg _lf.jpg _rt.jpg _up.jpg
6 .back.jpg .bottom.jpg .front.jpg .left.jpg .right.jpg .top.jpg

The 3 first are standard for FPP, the other 3, when fed into Flashificator, will be automatically converted to the
_f.jpg _r.jpg _b.jpg _l.jpg _u.jpg _d.jpg suffix system.

If we are informed of more (or less) common suffixes, it would be a natural thing for us to provide support for those as well.

Low resolution gray scale projection during loading of the main pano has been enabled. The gray sclae enabling/disabling is found in Tourificator. Default setting is that it is enabled. To disable it, untick the tickbox.
The program will make low resolution grey scale images of 300x300 pixels (for cube faces), and it will also work for equirectangular images and stripes... but that has not been worked into it yet... trying to apply it to equis will result in black screen (I just discovered that now). Expect the gray scale pre-images for equis and stripes to be implemented in the next update.

0-1-2-3 decimal adjustments for numeric steppers will hopefully also be ready for next version. It has been built into the interface, but many of the numeric steppers can only work without decimals, and for instance the "Ratio" needs to have it's 4 decimals... so a lot of conditions have to be set before it can be activated. The component is placed (hidden now)to the left of the program's red "close application" button. Clicking a numeric stepper that is showing a number without decimals, then clicking the "accelerator" (or what it should be called) will add one decimal with one click, 2 with 2 clicks, 3 with 3 clicks... and that in return will enable you to put hotspots/images accurately into place.

Version 2.056 is out

0-1-2-3 decimal adjustments for numeric steppers has been implemented. The component is placed to the left of the program's red "close application" button. Clicking a numeric stepper that is showing a number without decimals, then clicking the "accelerator" (or what it should be called) will add one decimal with one click, 2 with 2 clicks, 3 with 3 clicks... and that in return will enable you to put hotspots/images accurately into place, but the component will only appear for numeric steppers that can use it's functions.

A lot of old and half old bugs have been eliminated.

Tommy Wirestam's PicMenu has been partially implemented, for "Simple" operation only, where you have a very limited set of tools to do with. Later on the programmer will implement all the controls for it, where you can modify every aspect of it at will.

As it works now:

1. Start a new project
2. Click "Plugins" tab
3. Go to "Tourificator"
4. Drag and drop all the panoramas you intend to have in the project into the left list
5. Click "Plugins" tab
6. Go to "PicMenu"
7. Click "Enable PicMenu"
8. Click "Reload" on the preview window
Depending on your computer, point #8 may take quite some time. Reason being that the program is making a copy of one of the cube faces, reducing it in size (down to 120x60 to fit the PicMenu PRESET size, and also converting a set of the panorama cubes to low res 300x300 pixel cube faces to be used as pre-images in the tour (appears before the pano appears).
Everything is linked now, and you can publish your tour... unless you need additional graphics, videos, mp3's etc). If you want to set special effects between panoramas, you need to do that BEFORE you enable PicMenu, and you'd do that in Tourificator, along with setting the initial opening view for individual panos.
Obviously there is some more fine tuning to be done with the PicMenu, but this enables a very quick tour production already.

If you want to replace the images automatically made for the PicMenu, all you have to do, is double click the image in question and browse for a new one.

Version 2.057 is out.

Lots of bugs and errors have been located and killed off. More are probably going to be found.

Tommy Wirestam's PicMenu has been fully implemented, but some improvements will be added to it before next release again..

SA Projector is found in the Plugins section. This is a Stand Alone Projector that creates a standalone panorama projector for both PC's and Macs. It is a SINGLE CLICK operation to make it create fully functional projectors. Click the "SA Projector" button in the Plugins section, and the project you are working on will be projector-ized in "../My Documents/My Projectors" folder on your computer.

Note: Default settings for Segments and Frame Rate in "Visuals" have been increased to 30, which is more fitting for a good display in today's world, than what was 2 years ago.
Dashboard has been improved from what was earlier: When Dashboard tick box "Enable Dashboard" is ticked, it will automatically reload and therefore update the display. Equally, when you change dashboard buttons, it will auto reload, and replace all the dashboard buttons from the earlier choice with the new ones. A related issue with NOT infoscreen not updating with the new one, has been fixed with this.

hotspots2.3b2.swf has been tested and found to pose no problems, and will be the recommended hotspots plugin to use with FFC, since it is superior to the original one shipping with the FPP package. I will make a Flashificator specific package and upload it to the FPP Google Groups, where you can download it from and drop the contents into the Flashificator installation folder. The package will include the essential FPP files.

Before having created a hotspot, it was not possible to close the program if one was not in Visuals tab (or Plugins tab) since the gray-out image was covering the “YES“ and “NO“ options for closing. Now fixed.

Poorificator fu***d up when there were spaces in the function name. Fixed.

Autorotator will NOT start automatically when Dashboard is created. You need to activate the Autorotator by going to Plugins>Autorotator>UN-TICK "Default settings" then UN-TICK "Disabled".
Autoleveling is now a default setting for the autorotator when autorotator is activated.

PicMenu: Centering of the the left thumbnail image in it‘s frame was needed, since it would otherwise go out of it's frame. Change was applied to the source file of the plugin.

Smartscale was not working as it should. Disabling smartscale for dashboard would disable smartscale for other hotspots as well. Seemingly it worked, but it only did in FFC, and not in flashificated projects. Fixed.

Added info in Tourificator interface:“ Double click a pano in the left list to replace it with a new pano“, useful when using an old project as a template for a new project.

Thumbnail issue in the picMenu was addressed... Thumbs are now resized properly, according to the set thumbnail size.

Using .mov files in Tourificator along with PicMenu resulted in a constant “loading failed“ on all panos. Fixed.

Quotation marks in tooltips would crash the application. When “ “ were typed in, quotation marks are now automatically converted into " " in the xml file, thereby avoiding the crash.

mp3 hotspot would loop even when 0 looping was selected. Fixed.
.... and a couple of handfuls of other issues have been fixed as well.

From now on, the documentation will be a separate download

Version 2.058 is out

Same as 2.057, except this time around the SA Projector works as it should. You find SA projector as the last button in the Plugins interface. One click, and your Stand Alone Projector is ready for being burned on a CD or DVD or put on Flash memory stick or distributed in other ways.

Version 2.059 is out

In slideshow it is now possible to drag and drop a bunch of images, without the need to give a name or description, one can add name/description if one wants. Control buttons are auto created (new and not so scary layout)

Moving panos in Tourificator up /down on the list (change of order) has been enabled... changed pano positions are auto-updated in PicMenu.

Replacing a pano would still leave the grayscale preview image of the previous pano in place. Fixed.

Now there is a direct access to the functions when a hotspot is selected in the hotspot drawer and Functions tab is clicked. This should make it easier to move around without getting lost.

Tickbox to enable grayscale for the initial pano is found in Tourificator.

When PicMenu is enabled, the preview window will auto reload..

PicMenu chose UP PICTURE (#4) in numbering suffix system 0-5, that's been corrected. Now the front image will be chosen (#0).

Ghosting has been killed for good.

Preloader is enabled as default.

Nodal Ninja clickable logo at startup has been added for making it easy for people to access the world's best panorama heads site.

Bugs, fixes, tweaks and turns have also been conducted on a wider scale. There are still remaining issues, particularly with the video player.... and probably other things as well, so all feedback/error reporting will be most welcome.

Version 2.061 is out.

This version is not as complete as I wanted it to be, but I have not found any errors in it yet, so it is worth a go.

Main points of what's new:
Compression of saved .ffc project files has been removed, since it apparently could kill the save files. This version can still open old (working) save projects, but when you save again, the file will not be re-compressed. The compression was a good way to save space, but when it can result in dead projects and lost time for people, then it's just as good to leave it out.
Pano name in preview window issue. Fixed
Lensflare issue. Fixed
Enabling autorotation, then disabling it, crashed the program. Fixed
File system 0-5, FFC picked cube face #4 (up). Fixed
Enable a button to toggle all dashboard buttons out of view with one click. Implemented, still more to come.
Re-organized Dashboard area.
Resize effect made available for the dashboard buttons.
Dashboard banner working hand in hand with the dashboard toggle button

Version 2.062 is out

First Phase3 release

Main points of what's new:
Hotspot drawer: A scroll bar has replaced the "click-forever" buttons. Therefore easier/faster access to hotspots.
Hotspot drawer: Hotspot creation/deletion buttons (red+green) have been moved to the left side of the hotspot drawer.
Hotspot drawer: A click on a hotspot in the preview window highlights the hotspot in the hotspot drawer.
Projector: Video did not work in projector files. Fixed.
Poorificator: Has been renamed to “URL linker“
If MP3 plugin was enabled - then disabled, an arrow remained in the interface. Fixed
Autorotator: Tilt Control was working by default, but appeared greyed out. Corrected.
Limits: Using cylinder and applying limits, would either crash the program, or the limits would not work. Fixed.
Stage properties of swf hotspots have been improved, so most (if not all) swf related problems should be solved. Please report back if there are still problems!
MP3 Hotspot: Volume value when a MP3 file was dragged into the pano, was at 0.1. Has been corrected.
Dashboard: Enabling dashboard would crash the program when using cylinder panos. Fixed.
Dashboard: A static dashboard up/down toggle button is available along with the dynamic one.
Dashboard: Select a hotspot in hotspot drawer, tick the "Use Scroll Effect" tickbox... the hotspot will go down with dashboard when it is toggled out of view
Dashboard: Select a hotspot in hotspot drawer, tick the "Use Fade Effect" tickbox... the hotspot will fade out when the dashboard is toggled out of view. Can be used for videos as well.
Initial opening view in panoramas is much easier
Adding individual limits is now possible
CUBES, MOV's, STRIPS, EQUIS, CYLINDERS were tested before release, in XP, VISTA 32, VISTA 64 and MAC

On the Preview window Chrome (top tool bar) you will notice a new little icon with a circle and 4 coloured arrows around it. This is the move/scale/rotation tool for hotspots. Click it, select the tool you want to use, then click the hotspot you want to change with it. There are 3 tools there now, but more will come as can be seen by the red crossed buttons.

The first tool (all the way to the right) has 3 control points:
Green up arrow = Move the hotspot UP or DOWN only
Red right arrow = Move the hotspot LEFT or RIGHT only
Blue circle = Move the hotspot FREELY as you want

The second tool from the right has 3 control points:
Red box = Resize the hotspot/video horizontally. Going left will flip the image.
Green box = Resize the hotspot/video vertically. Going down will flip the image.
Blue box = Resize the hotspot/video in freestyle mode.

The third tool from the right has 4 control points:
Blue circle = Click it and move the mouse from side to side to rotate the hotspot/video clockwise/counter clockwise
Green line = Click it and move the mouse up/down to flip the hotspot/video on the vertical axis.
Red line = Click it and move the mouse sideways to flip the hotspot/video on the horizontal axis.
"Pizza cuts" in the circle (whiteish) = Freestyle rotation of the hotspot/video on all 3 axis.

To disable these tools, click the tool icon on the top chrome again.

To make a simple tour, you only need to start the application, give the project a name, drag and drop in a few image hotspots, drag and drop panorama cube faces onto these (one face from each pano on each hotspot image)

Version 2.065 is out

Conditions have been set, which should prevent everything in folders "belonging" to Flashificator to be deleted. That goes for PC's. Mac's operate on a completely different level, where it is normal for them to delete all the contents of a folder that is installed. Nothing to do there I'm afraid.
Introduction of the first hotspot being created when the program starts up, resulted in unwanted side-effect that disabled cylinders and equirectangular images to be used. Fixed.
The new Opacity tool in the preview window did not write it's settings to the xml file. Fixed.
A bug in Preloader would result in projects not opening up in newer versions of FFC under certain conditions. Thanks to the Italian connection, a non functioning .ffc file provided the key to the solution.

Version 2.066 is out

From the top of my head on new features:
To the toolbar in the preview window there have been added 3 new buttons
1. Static/Dynamic
2. Spot/Box hotspot type switcher (If you change between spot and box, you HAVE TO use the "Reload" button on the top left corner of the preview window in order to be able to apply changes to the hotspot that was changed from one to the other).
3. Segments. Easily change segment settings for a selected hotspot with BOX properties. Does not apply anything to hotspots with SPOT properties.
All the tools in the current toolbar in the preview window are now equipped with basic tooltips.

Auto-update checker: From now on the program will tell you when there is a new update available. When it does, you only have to click the provided link, download the latest updated version and install.

Version 2.068 BETA is out

The first automatically created hotspot holder is now named "donotdeleteme" (Do not delete me). You should not delete this hotspot, UNLESS you are not going to use a nadir cap anywhere in your project. If you do not have a nadir cap, you can still keep the hotspot, and it will make no difference. This hotspot is made as a bug-fix workaround for an error in FPP's hotspots.swf plugin, that results in depth problems, where the assigned depths will not be respected. Overall recommendation is to simply keep the "donotdeleteme" hotspot in the project.

Compass is now a single click operation, where default images for the compass are provided. You will also be able to choose if the compass needle is rotating in the compass, or if the compass rotates around the needle. Replacing the images is as easy as ever.

When Flashificating, the path to the saved folder will be saved as the location you last saved to. This eliminates the previous default path of "My Documents/My Panoramas". The last saved path you had, will be the next default path, even after closing the program and opening it again.

LogoMeter has been activated as the default loadmeter. It has a default logo (Flashificator) that you should be able to exchange with your own graphics.

MP3 player plugin has been completely re-written, and is more flexible for media playing than anything else known to panographers.
You can play mp3 files and radio stations (SHOUTCAST).
You can place the plugin controller component anywhere you want on the screen, but only in static mode (not distorted).
You can change the position of the controls, select/de-select controls in real time.
You can assign a sound to a pano... when pano "x" loads, mp3 (or radio) "y" will play.
4 default radio stations are provided for startup, but these can be replaced with your own choices.
Mixing radio stations and MP3 files in the playlist is of course possible.

Nadir Cap is made with a default image you can easily replace with your own image in the Flashificator installation folder, effectively making the creation of the Nadir Cap into a one click operation. C:\Program Files\Flashificator\nadircap

URL Linker now has a dropdown list containing different ways for the desired link to open:
_blank: Opens a new window/tab in the browser
_parent: Opens in the parent frame set (used if you have a website with frames)
_self: Opens the link in the same window/tab as the panorama in which the link is placed
_top: Opens the linked document in the topmost frame... that is, the new page fills the entire window.

Slideshow has been modified. It appears with 3 default images that can be replaced with your own.

Changing between BOX and SPOT now takes place in realtime, and there is no need to click "Reload" to see the changes.

Regarding realtime: I have stated many times that everything would be in realtime with this version, but that did not happen. Unfortunately it will not be possible to get everything into realtime, due to the way FPP's API is construed. If it was attempted, it could/would result in crashes of your computers if there were many instances of clocks or mp3 hotspots or other hotspot based files that use timers. More of the plugins will be converted into "Pure MVC Architecture", which in the process will make these faster, more stable, less resource demanding... and bring most (not all) of them into realtime.... so what you do, will be seen immediately.

The work-window tools can now be used in combination with recording functions. It should have been that way earlier, but sometimes things fall into the forgotten plans bucket.

Recording functions now allows you to make only the FIRST part of the function... let's say that you want a hotspot to grow bigger and glow and rotate... then you start the functions recorder and apply such changes to the hotspot in question. When you have recorded all the changes you want, you stop the recorder, and new controls appear under the "Record or Paste text function" field. By default "Generate Reverse" function is ticked. This means that the functions you recorded, will have the exact opposite created. You then can choose if the function is for "On Click" or "On Press/On Relase" or On Over/On Out events. This will save a lot of time in functions making.

Version 2.0681 2nd BETA is out

Same as 2.068, but with several bug fixes, including:

Color pickers in Filters section have been fixed, these applied completely wrong colours.
Compass is now automatically created.... the compass components are found in the FFC installation folder. Click to search for a new background/needle, select the existing images, or your own, and when you have selected those, the tools for alignment will appear. This component is to be re-written and made more usable.
The mp3 plugin has been improved on several fronts, thanks to Terry for testing and pointing out the shortcomings.

More fixes will be applied in the coming days.

Version 2.0682 is out

Same as 2.0681, but with a couple of bug fixes:

mp3 files would not appear in the playlist of the toolbox when either dragged and dropped there, or browsed for, while they would be present in the playlist of the media player component in the work window.
An issue in functions has been fixed as well: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1888&p=5945#p5945

IMPORTANT WARNING: This version has a new compass plugin that has not been fully implemented. Please do NOT use the compass of this verison. The next update will have it fully integrated and functional, with nice new features.
