Hi again

Can anyone provide an explanation/usage of the following terms as I find them a bit of a mystery?

Segments
Mouse Children
Distance
Shrink
Leash Lock
Smartscale
also when to use spot or box?

Please go to:
Plugins>Help Files>FPP Engine Help

This will open up a help file in .pdf format (Adobe reader)

Click:
Edit>Find (or use CTRL+F)
Put in the search terms and you will have most of the answers in a couple of clicks.

The following two are not covered in the .pdf file:

Mouse Children is not really documented
Enables interaction of interactive elements inside it's container (only used for .swf)

Smartscale is supposed to resize hotspots intelligently... it is a plugin, and personally I never use it... and found it rather dumb when I wanted to use it.
