PanoPress - WordPress Plugin for 360° Panoramas

omer calev & myself have cooked up a new wordpress plugin for displaying 360° Panoramas on your website, and as of version 0.8, Flash Panorama Player is officially supported

all panos are embedded via swfobject, plugins i've tested work fine, i have not tested flashificator, pano cocoon or whatever html5 options are avail for fpp yet, but we want to support all of these features, so we need some help testing them from experienced users...

see the PanoPress site for documentation, examples, download, etc -
FPP docs are not up yet but it will be pretty similar to krpano, proper fpp docs are being finished as quickly as possible

1 - install & activate the plugin
2 - upload your panoramas
3 - embed panos with the shortcode [pano file="my-pano/my-pano.xml"]

both omer and myself have been using wordpress to display our panos for years, and this plugin is intended to make displaying panoramas w wordpress as easy as displaying jpgs, remove the hassle and mystery of proper swfobject usage, etc

so check it out and let us know what you think

quick how to w flashificator & panopress, more detailed docs will be published soon

in your flashificator project folder -

move the pano.swf to xml folder
rename swf to match xml file
change file paths in xml from "files/" to "../"

make sure you do not change the term "visualFiles" or "hotspotFiles" to "..Files" in the xml when making these changes

and embed like this

[pano file="my-pano/files/xml/my-pano.swf"]

Hi,

I've followed all the instructions to the letter, and so far so good - I even have a little 'PP' icon in my page edit display in WP.

I am just a bit stuck on exactly which files to upload.

There are instructions for KR pano and Pano2VR, but not for FPP....

Can anyone help?

Just need to know which file(s) to upload and to where.....

I tried PanoPress I managed to install it into WordPress, but I do not know how to load panoramas
Everything I know it is difficult not to go beyond
Someone was kind enough to tell a more detailed tutorial

sorry it hasn't been posted here sooner, but panopress 1.0b1 allows easer embeds of flashificator tours by allowing embeds of html files, so no modifications to your project are required

just embed like this

I still haven't tried to use the panopress plugin, but I do get questions relating to posting in wordpress on regular basis.

I'll be trying this out soon.
