2.087 videos not visible

2.087 videos not visible

Postby shwami » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:59 am

Hey,

I added videos to my tour and published it to a folder. The videos work properly when viewed through Flashificator but when loaded on a browser, the videoplayer swf gets loaded but it does not load the videos. I checked the paths, everything seems to be fine, but the videoplayer just does not load the video.

is this a known issue?

please help.

Could you share your ffc file for checking?

Thank you.

I have had a look at the file, and all the videos play fine both in FFC and in Chrome/Firefox browsers. No issues encountered at all.

Admittedly I have only tested locally, and not online... but I assume you have the problem locally.

Which version of Flash do you have on your computer? Have you checked the global security settings for your computer? (right click any flash content, select "Global Settings", then "Advanced" then "Trusted location settings" and there you should ensure that the drive/folder where your project is found, is granted permissions to run Flash content.

If this doesn't solve it, I would suggest you to upload the project to your server and see if things will work properly for you there.

From what I am seeing, this has to be due to Flash security settings.

Best regards and good luck.

Yes you were right! It was a security issue. I tried changing the trust local settings and it started working. I got confused because the new flash player security settings interface has changed completely!

thanks, and apologies for taking your time over a trivial problem!

Hello Trausti,

the videos run perfectly when i run the index.html file directly. However, when I embed the tour into an swf called Main.swf, the videos don't play. When testing the movie in Flash CS4, the mouse cursor triggers some numbers in the output column when it goes over the video, but the video itself is not visible.

Have put the embedded tour in the dropbox as well. You can see the difference in behaviour when you see the tour on index.html and Main.html.

thanks once again!

Hi Trausti,

The problem comes when i embed the tour into another flash swf. I have added the embedded files in the dropbox folder. please check and let me know if the videos are working fine. they are not working for me locally or on the server.

regards,
