COMPLETE FAILURE WARNING

Postby Trausti Hraunfjord » Thu Aug 13, 2009 3:37 pm

With the current version (2.056), you can not use file names for the visual files with white spaces. It will cause a crash.
A file name like: "MyFile_f.jpg" will work, while "My File_f.jpg" will NOT work.

This bug-error has been fixed for the next release, more things have to be fixed as well, relating to the gray scale cube faces created.

Just be careful with the file names please.

Sorry for any inconvenience you may have encountered over this issue.

Hi Trausti,

I have installed the new version of Flashificator 2.056, as Flashificator started automatically I got the following error:
Version 2.3.1 of pano.swf is not found.
Rename FPP's version 2.3.1 of 'pano.swf' to 'pano2.3.1.swf'
Copy and paste the file in your Flashificator installation folder.
Then I the proceed to copy pano.swf version 2.3.1 from Dennis FPP folder into the Flashificator folder; launched Flashificator and this time came up with the error saying pano.swf is missing. I pasted the same version from dennis without renaming it and got the following error
---------------------------
FFC Preview: Flashificator.exe - Application Error
---------------------------
The instruction at "0x1022f91d" referenced memory at "0x06a0fffc". The memory could not be "read". that comes in the FPP zip file?

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
---------------------------
OK Cancel

Can we or can we not use that version of Pano.swf - Size: 17.6 KB (18,037 bytes) - Created on: 01 March 2009, 04:20:08 or we still have to use this version: Size:14.8 KB (15,177 bytes) - Created on: 29 September 2008, 19:36:13, if this is the case why did it show the first error
please rename "pano.swf" to "pano2.3.1".
.

Saludos

Rodrigo

Regarding the previous message this is the error I get when I rename the pano.swf to pano2.3.1.swf
Essential FPP file missing: pano.swf

I hope this helps to kill the bug.

Rodrigo

Check the dates of the 2 pano.swf files you have in the installation folder.

You need version 2.2.1 of pano.swf (dated 8.10.2007) for Flashficator to run
You need version 2.3.1 of pano.swf (dated 1.3.2009) renamed to pano2.3.1.swf and copied to Flashificator installation folder, so that you can get Flash 10 benefits out of your Flashificated projects.

Hey Trausti - I'm really a novice here and trying to get this up and running and get same error. Seems my purchases where in Dec last year - where can I get version 2.3.1 of pano.swf (dated 1.3.2009) . Do I need to buy FPP again?
thx

Hi Bill

This is easily and quickly sorted - you're going to love FFC ;)

Log in and then go to Updates - Latest Update and you will find instructions for getting the files needed from the FPP Google Groups. I haven't given a direct link as this should be for purchasers only ( both FPP and FFC ) - correct me if I'm wrong Trausti.

Regards

Hey Bruce - I managed to get it working. I went into the the FPP google group and downloaded the ESSENTIAL_FPP_FFC_FILES.zip (a little tricky to find). Easy fix now to roll up my sleeves and start playing with this.
thx

Hi Bill, and sorry for the (very common unfortunately) problem with finding the FPP files, but glad you managed to locate them.

With the next update(s) (almost 4 months since the last one) becomes available, I should be able to make new tutorials and info that relate to the UI as it looks now... since it has changed a lot over the past year. One of the major changes is that everything will be in real time, contrary to now, where only most things are in real time, and one needs to click the "Reload" button on the work window to see applied changes. Next version will have everything changing/updating as you make the changes.
